Live Cinema” is an experimental narrative technique applied to the video performance that produces a simultaneous and in real-time creation of sounds and images, where the traditional guidelines of narrative cinema, represented by the subjectivity photographed by the camera, expand in a wider horizon where the viewer’s perception is in continuous tension between experimentation and re-enactment.

Every day, Room 9 of Palazzo delle Esposizioni will host the performances of Live Cinema. Before the performances it will be possible to attend “Enigma” a 10-minute AV installation of PurForm, the Canadian audio-visual duo founded by YAN BREULEUX together with the composer ALAIN THIBAULT.

To anticipate the event there will be the “SCREENINGS” section with ABOUT LIVE CINEMA a preview of screenings from August 1st to September 19th at the Palaexpo bookstore, during the museum’s opening hours, which aims to prepare the public for the festival performances.
